AllSafe Training Services Ltd was established in 2011 as a health & safety training provider delivering training course designed to meet the requirements of businesses across a wide range of industries.

AllSafe Training Services provide both accredited and non-accredited training programmes that meet the development needs of organisations and their employees. As part of this service we listen to our customers’ needs to create and deliver training solutions that effectively meet their strategic and operational objectives.

All our trainers are highly experienced and qualified in their chosen field of expertise, are registered with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance or the National Plant Operator’s Registration Scheme and will tailor courses to suit your business needs. AllSafe Training Services provide a number of consultancy services to businesses in order for them to meet relevant health and safety legislation (Health and Safety at Work Act 1974).

AllSafe Training Services also offer a harness and lanyard inspection service; these inspections are carried out by trained, competent personnel. This is done with minimum disruption to your business as we come to you. On completion of the inspection equipment will be tagged and an appropriate certificate of conformity will be issued. The inspection will be carried out as specified in BS8437 2005

"Formal inspection procedures should be put in place by employers to ensure that personal fall protection equipment is given a detailed inspection ("thorough examination") by a competent person before first use and at intervals not exceeding six months (or three months where the equipment is used in arduous conditions), and after circumstances liable to jeopardize safety have occurred"

Asbestos Awareness


Duration: ½ day

The course is targeted at all those likely to be involved with asbestos - either in a property management sense or for those trades likely to work directly or indirectly with materials that could be asbestos.

This course is designed specifically to provide both knowledge and awareness of:

Risk Assessment


Duration: ½ day

This course is designed to be an introduction to the principles of Risk Assessment. It covers why risk assessments are necessary, the legal requirements relating to risk assessments and simple processes for carrying out a risk assessment. It is suitable for learners working in any environment who need to be more risk aware by raising their knowledge of risk in the workplace and basic things they can do to control it.




Safe Working at Height from Ladders & Steps


Duration: ½ day

This course is designed for all those who use ladders and steps in the workplace. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 are focused upon, as well as the safe use, maintenance and inspection of such access equipment. Highly recommended for all operators who work with ladders and steps, and their employers!

This course covers:

  • All relevant Health & Safety Laws and Regulations.
  • Responsibilities of employees and their employers.
  • The safe inspection of the equipment.
  • Conducting a Risk Assessment the right way.
  • How to use the equipment safely.
  • The correct storing of equipment.

Safe Working at Height from Ladders using Fall Arrest Equipment


Duration: 1 day

This course is designed so the learner will have an understanding of working safely at height from portable ladders using fall arrest equipment.

The course will cover the following content:

  • Legislation – All the legal requirements: Regulations, approved codes of practice, guidance
  • Risk assessment for working at height
  • Introduction to the equipment (fall arrest system)
  • Inspecting & fitting the body harness and associated equipment

Working at Height Awareness


Duration: 1 day

This course is designed to give delegates an understanding and appreciation of the Work at Height Regulations 2005, and what these mean for the employee and their employer. This theory based course shows delegates how to plan any work at height, including equipment selection and how to put measures into place to prevent falls. Highly recommended for all those who work at height, and their employers!




Harness Inspection & Fitting


Duration: ½ day

The aim of this course is to give those who use safety harness and lanyards an understanding of the different types of harnesses and lanyards, their safe selection, use and inspection. It also runs through all the relevant health and safety laws including the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

This course covers:

  • An overview of all relevant Health & Safety Laws and Regulations including the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
  • Responsibilities of employees and their employers under these laws and Regulations.
  • The different types and uses of harnesses and lanyards - which one to use in different situations.
  • The safe inspection of the equipment, what to look for and how to look for it, whose responsibility it is.
  • How to put on and wear the different types of harnesses.
  • How to work safely in your harness with your lanyard.
  • Devising a safe rescue plan!
  • The correct way to store of harnesses and lanyards.
  • Having a go yourself - practical.
  • Testing your knowledge - Test paper, questions and review.



Manual Handling - Level 2


Duration: 1 day

More than 25% of all accidents reported to the HSE each year are associated with manual handling resulting in hours of downtime for many companies! This course will help employers comply with The Manual Handling Operations 1992 which state that employers are responsible for ensuring that staff who lift or move loads are trained. The course will help delegates develop an understanding of why correct manual handling is so important, how to identify risks and will offer guidance on how to determine the safest method of handling to avoid injury.

This course covers:

  • An overview of all relevant Health & Safety Laws and Regulations.
  • What exactly is manual handling?
  • The makeup of the back and the importance of looking after it.
  • Conducting a risk assessment.
  • Posture and lifting techniques.
  • Testing your knowledge - Test paper, questions and review.



Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)


Duration: 1 day

This is a first aid qualification which enables candidates to give emergency first aid to someone who becomes ill at work. This particular award is suited to working environments that have minimum hazards along with a low number of employees.




First Aid at Work


Duration: 3 days

This includes all the features of EFAW and also equips candidates with the first aid to tend a range of specific injuries and illnesses. This particular award is most suited to working environments that have a high hazard count and/or high numbers of employees.




First Aid at Work refresher


Duration: 2 days

The First Aid at Work qualification is valid for a period of three years at which point a requalification course must be taken.




Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) - Level 2


Duration: ½ day

This course is intended for all staff who may be exposed to hazardous substances, but will particularly benefit delegates who are involved with the preparation of risk assessments within their work environment. The course will give delegates an understanding of the employers duty under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) 2002 to identify substances in the workplace and to assess whether they present a risk to employed persons.

This course covers:

  • All relevant Health & Safety Laws and Regulations.
  • What is a hazardous substance.
  • Hidden hazards.
  • Seven steps an employer must take.
  • Risk assessment, how to assess materials.
  • Material register.
  • Assessment record form.

Fire Safety Awareness - Levels 1 & 2


All individuals involved with fire safety must receive all the required information and training to deal with fire safety issues. We are able to offer Level 1 and Level 2 Fire Safety qualifications.

Level 1

Duration: 1/2 day

This course ensures that candidates know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace with recognition of their possible contribution to prevent the starting and spread of fires. This qualification is aimed at all staff, particularly new starters, in any workplace, where a basic understanding of fire safety is required.




Level 2

Duration: 1 day

This course ensures that candidates know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace and will recognise the consequences of a fire in any premises. This qualification is aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety in any workplace. This includes managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire wardens (marshals) and staff working in any area where there is a potential risk of fire.




Health & Safety in the Workplace - Level 1


Duration: ½ day

Level 1 Awards in Health and Safety have been developed to ensure that employees are equipped with a basic knowledge of health and safety in their workplace, including the duties under UK health and safety legislation.

The qualifications need no former knowledge of Health and Safety and are therefore ideal as part of a company health and safety induction programme, but it could also form part of on-going refresher training designed to improve the health and safety culture in a workplace. The qualification will suit a diverse group of students including those from large multinationals to small businesses. Candidates could also use the qualification as part of relevant courses being taken in schools and colleges.




Health & Safety in Manufacturing - Level 1


Duration: ½ day

Health & Safety in the Workplace - Level 2

Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace qualification is to provide candidates with knowledge of the basic Health and Safety practices that are essential in the workplace. This includes the hazards and risks presented in the workplace along with the relevant legislation, and ensures awareness of cost-effective, practical control methods.

The qualification is applicable for any private or public sector working environment and provides employees with an awareness of their own safety, as well as the safety of customers, contractors and members of the public.

The achievement of the Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace qualification will enable learners to work safely and to recognise and deal with hazards in the workplace.




Health & Safety in the Workplace - Level 3


Duration: 3 days

The Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is aimed at supervisors, managers, team leaders as well as individuals wishing to advance their health and safety knowledge. The qualification is intended for learners already working in the capacity of supervisor, manager or team leader and also those who are preparing to start work at this level.

Persons gaining this qualification will know that supervisors, managers and team leaders have legal and moral obligations to ensure health and safety within a business, and that this includes obligations to employees, contractors, visitors and suppliers. Its syllabus areas are regarded by the Health and Safety Executive as being important to developing and maintaining safe working procedures in the workplace.
